Carol Mattos has built a solid career as a DJ in the past ten years. Based in Brazil, she is resident of Mamba Negra and creator of Masterplano, two of the most iconic Brazilian labels. She currently lives in Rio, where she’s in charge of Flumma, a party that focuses on immersive visuals, high quality sound systems and unique curatorship of artists.

With two Boiler Rooms and almost 200k listens on Soundcloud and Youtube, her music reaches listeners from across the globe, with her unique repertoire of songs and sets that are carefully built.

Carol is able to create non-obvious music sets that permeate different genres and are very cohesive at the same time. She is recognized by her cosmic and intense ambience with powerful bass lines and engaging synths. With a very distinctive identity, she is able to transit between darkish or lighter moods, always energizing the dance floor and making the audience be fully involved in her narrative. She is one of the pioneering DJs of Dark Disco and avid researcher of Latin Techno, blending it with hypnotic layers of EBM, techno beats, elements of post-punk and '80s synths, which she combines with 90’s rave sounds, like acid, electro, and trance. Her more upbeat sets are stimulating and full of groove, where she brings her research in disco, nu italo, house, and synth-pop. She also engages the audience in atmospheric and immersive moments, with nuances of progressive house, trance and others.

Carol Mattos has performed in more than 30 different cities and in several different countries and continents. She was part of DGTL, Boiler Room Festival, MOGA and Rituel Off, to name a few festivals; and iconic clubs such as Sisyphos, Renate, D-Edge, Caos Club, Deputamadre and Dabadaba Club.
