Carol Mattos is a resident DJ of MAMBA NEGRA, a member of MASTERplano collective and she is currently based in Rio de Janeiro. After 8 years working in and for the Brazilian independent scene, Carol created FLUMMA, which proposes a meticulous curation of musical and visual artists, as well as longer DJ sets, in a way that the party turns into an immersive experience with high definition sound.

In her selections, she creates nostalgic and futuristic atmospheres, digging up 80's musical roots with the same emphasis as she waters the seeds from Latin America new productions, turning the dance floor into a sci-fi microcosm. Taking a contemporary approach to Italo disco, Carol moves through the fundamentals of synthpop, dark wave and dark disco, a genre of which she became a kind of pioneer in Brazil.

Her sets are glimpses of industrial EBM textures, guitar distortions, trance's inspiration in storytelling, and aspects of house music which highlight the journey of the synthesizers, bassline grooves and drum machine beats. The genres dilute to progress together with the audience, in the form of a hypnotic, affective and interplanetary adventure.

Carol has performed twice in Boiler Room and in more than 20 Brazilian cities, including festivals such as DGTL São Paulo, MECA Inhotim and Bruma. She held stages at Virada Cultural de São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, and she has played in national relevant events, such as ODD, Carlos Capslock, BLUM, Domply, Caos Club, Troop, Mientras Dura, among others. 

On international tours, she has been in prestigious clubs, as Sisyphos and Renate (Berlin), Dabadaba Club (Spain), Tempio del Futuro Perduto (Italy), Macera and El Sótano (Madrid), as well as in parties in Chile and Ivory Coast.
